On lucky 03.13.13 Amy, Bert, and Amy’s girls officially became a family at Newport Beach’s Crystal Cove. The seaside wedding was attended by close friends and family and was so intimate and beautiful. Crystal Cove is special to Bert and Amy’s relationship and they wanted those they love most to experience it’s beauty. This little family is so sweet and their day was so special. Congrats to Amy, Bert, and their little ladies!
I have had the absolute pleasure of getting to know Andi and Carissa over the years. It all began with engagement photos, then a fabulous wedding in Palm Springs, and now they are adding a little one to the mix. I feel so honored to photograph these big moments in their lives, and to call them friends. Can’t wait to meet her. I know she is going to be wonderful because she has A&C for mamas.

For Bob & Ally’s Chicago engagement session I asked them to take me along for a ride on a “date night.” We began our session exploring the Artist District near downtown and then followed it up with a trip to one of their favorite local haunts. Bob’s sweet ride took center stage in some of our shots, evoking the feel of an old-school Italian movie. These two are so sweet on each other which made it a lot of fun for me to capture their love in the images. Two words best describe Michelle and Justin’s wedding at the Ebell Club of Long Beach over Labor Day weekend, whimsical-elegance. Its also a wonderful way to describe Justin and Michelle as a couple. From our engagement shoot in downtown LA to spending the day with them and their friends and family, I have come to adore this charming couple. They are so much fun to photograph, and I loved capturing the playful mood of the day.

I recently made it to my home away from home, New York for a summertime visit complete with a portrait series for my Family Portrait Project. I was so touched by so many old and new clients coming out in support for Empower Nepali Girls. From families awaiting their first arrival, to twins, to a family of 10! We had a fabulous time making memories.
Tiffany and Evan wanted a small, casual wedding with lots of fun and a touch of elegance. For help orchestrating the big day they turned to Holly Chavez at HMC Event Solutions, whose staff implemented every idea to perfection. Everything about their backyard wedding in Claremont lived up to their dreams. We began our day with photos at the Claremont Colleges — taking our time to incorporate the classic architecture and gardens into our images. Tiffany and Evan were so relaxed, it was an absolute pleasure to photograph them, and I feel that we really got some amazing shots that show what a loving couple they are. I recently had the amazing opportunity to travel to Nepal with the Empower Nepali Girls organization. We traveled throughout the country distributing scholarships to lower caste girls who would otherwise not be able to attend school. Without an education, many of these girls would be subjected to human trafficking and a life of neglect. By providing the funds for an education, we hope to not only empower each individual girl, but affect positive change throughout their communities. The cost of of tuition, books, and an uniform is $125 per student per year.
I have started the Family Portrait Project to help American families connect with the experience of families in Nepal. By participating in the Family Portrait Project, you and your family can help change the life of one very deserving girl, and get some amazing photos too! This summer I will be traveling to different spots around Los Angeles as well as Chicago and New York, capturing all the love and laughter of your families. The proceeds from the portrait sessions will be donated to Empower Nepali Girls.
